Dave Wagner started his career by getting cartoons published when he was sixteen years old at a local paper in Sacramento. Soon after, he headed off to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and earned a BS in graphic design. He began work as a designer and painter for Douglas Bouman & Associates, a fine art and mural company. Highlights from that time include a twelve piece series of paintings featured at the Stratosphere Casino in Las Vegas, and being part of a five man team of artists sent to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to paint murals on the ceiling of a Four Seasons hotel owned by the Royal Family of Saud.
Dave then worked as a designer for SMASHED Inc., a party promotions company in Barcelona, Spain. Dave had a very good time in Spain. Later, after a year of teaching art and geography at an inner city high school in Sacramento, Dave received a BFA from the California College of the Arts (CCA). He is now at large in Southern Humboldt County.
